2010 Annual Conference: TDA PAC Casino Night & Silent Auction

Calling all donors! It's time for the Annual PAC Silent Auction and NEW this year, Thursday, March 18, 2010, casino night at the 75th Diamond Celebration being held at Union Station!

We are encouraging all TDA members to participate this year for either event or even both events.

Door prizes are needed for the casino night benefiting TDA PAC. Here's how it will work. Everybody attending the TDA 75th Anniversary Diamond Celebration will have an opportunity to purchase $25 worth of chips to use at the table game of their choice. At the end of the evening whatever chips each person has will be exchanged for raffle tickets to be placed in front of the prize of their choosing.

This year the TDA PAC announces the 5th Annual Creative Basket Contest for the 2010 TDA PAC Silent Auction. Let's try to top last year's great success!

Here are the rules: All TDA members are encouraged to participate. Baskets can be donated by individuals, teams or districts. The baskets will be judged and awards will be presented for 9 categories:

Best Texas Theme
Most Nutritious
Best Use of Foods & Beverages
Best Movie Theme
Most Creative by an Individual
Most Creative by a Team
Overall Best of Show by a District
New Category: Most Environmentally Friendly
New Category: Most Creative by a Student or Intern Group

Examples of items that could be donated for either event are: weekend night for 2 at a hotel in your area; tickets to a major sporting or concert event; original artwork; specialized software (for the dietetic professional); or gift cards. Donations should have a value of at least $50. Your donation doesn't have to fit into an actual basket to be included, so be creative.
