Angela Lemond left a successful career in corporate marketing in 2001 to pursue her love of nutrition following her own personal and very pivotal journey into wellness. Angela began her career as a Registered Dietitian by providing medical nutrition therapy at one of the U.S.’s premier pediatric facilities, Children’s Medical Center Dallas. Her specialty areas at Children’s included cardiology, gastroenterology and weight management. Angela is one of the founding authors of LEAN (Lifestyle, Exercise And Nutrition) Families, a weight management program still operating at Children’s Medical Center.

Now Angela works in private practice, supporting adult and pediatric physicians all over the Dallas area in providing nutrition education and guidance to their patients. As an advocate to the average busy family and a mother of two young children herself, Angela has been nicknamed the “Mommy Dietitian.” She stays “in-the-know” on hot nutrition topics so she can continually provide free, practical and evidenced-based nutrition information and resources through her website, Mommy Dietitian blog, Facebook fan page, and regular Twittter posts. Her motto when it comes to a healthy lifestyle is, “Invest in your health through proper nutrition.” Angela emphasizes the practical, “how to” side of healthy living just as much as the education part in order to assist others with success.

Angela has a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Dietetics and is a Registered Dietitian through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), the credentialing arm of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
