Angela Lemond loves food and nutrition! That is why she left a successful marketing career in 2001 to make her past-time into her full-time endeavor. Her passion has been the fuel that has catapulted her up the ranks in food and nutrition media. Angela is now in her 3rd year as a national spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and also serves state media representative for the Texas Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Much of her nutrition messaging surrounds pediatric and family nutrition. As an active volunteer for the Kids Eat Right volunteer campaign, Angela loves to share practical healthy eating tips to parents on a national platform. As a mother of two children ages 10 and 7 years old, she knows firsthand how challenging raising healthy eaters can be and that relatability is what draws others to her advice.

Angela began her career in nutrition at Children’s Medical Center Dallas (newly called Children’s Health) where she worked for several years in clinical pediatrics. She then started her own private practice – Lemond Nutrition – which is one of the only rapidly growing comprehensive family nutrition practices and preferred insurance providers in the country. Lemond Nutrition is partnered with several pediatric and family medical practices in the Dallas/Fort Worth area that provide medical nutrition therapy services to maintain and treat a variety of health conditions.

Angela received her clinical dietetic training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and went on to become a Registered and Licensed Dietitian. She is Certified as a Specialist in Weight Management as well and is Board Certified as a Specialist in Pediatric Nutrition through the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Angela received the Texas Dietetic Association Media Award in 2011 and the prestigious Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (formerly the American Dietetic Association) Emerging Leader Award in 2010. In addition to her love for food and family, Angela loves fitness – anything from Camp Gladiator workouts, to running, mountain climbing and scuba diving. Outdoor adventuring and traveling are what she and her husband, Jeff, like to do when not working their real jobs.
