Carina is a proud graduate of Texas Tech University where she completed her bachelor’s in Nutritional Sciences and Dietetics. From there she continued as a Red Raider and completed her Nutritional Sciences Masters degree at Texas Tech University and dietetic internship in the Permian Basin.

Currently she serves as the Child Nutrition Services Dietitian for the Midland Independent School District and enjoys helping feed students nutritious and yummy food every day. Providing children the opportunity to have a balanced and “made with love” meal each day is her passion. She finds that it is truly an amazing thing to be involved in the promotion of the health and wellness for the future generation.

She has served in leadership positions for the Texas Academy the last three years one being networking events coordinator, then director elect and now director for the West Region. Her primary goal for the West Region is continue to grow the dietetic profession as an imperative part of promoting health in both the healthcare and the community setting.

In her personal time she loves cooking, investing time in her virtual private practice, Healthy Eats by Carina,running and working out and spending time with her husband and two dogs.
